EMO-UK was established in 2003 by a group of refugees from the Democratic Republic of Congo living in the United Kingdom. EMO-UK was soon registered as a Charity by the Charity Commission.
The aims and objectives of the association are:
Refugees and asylum seekers integration in the British community community
Training and advancing opportunity for people to go back to work
Mentoring young people at risk of under-achieving or dropping out of school
Supporting families to build strong relationships
Helping local people in the Democratic Republic of Congo to rebuild their lives destroyed by war
